Welcome To Seawood's Home Page
Seawood is our vacation home located in the village of Corea, Maine at the mouth of the Gouldsboro Bay on Gouldsboro Peninsula in Downeast Maine.

The cottage is a 24x36 three-story cedar and redwood home. It has living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, bath and utility room on the first floor. On the second floor is a sitting room/bedroom and a library loft. On the third floor is a kitchenette, half bath and living room. There is an 8 foot deck that goes across the whole front of the house. It sits on the highest point of a one-acre lot overlooking Gouldsboro Bay and Sand Cove. There is a sand beach down front at medium and low tide, but if you want to swim, the ocean is a bit cold here and there are several fresh water lakes close by for fishing, swimming and boating. There is plenty of beach and rock to climb over and around.

Hope you enjoy your stay!
If you have any trouble with anything at the cottage, you may reach us in Ellsworth at 667-7641 or 667-8474. If you call me the week before you arrive, we will make arrangements to meet you and take you out to Corea. If you are looking for places to eat out and go shopping, you are not very far from most of these conveniences. Winter Harbor is 7 miles away where you have laundry facilities, restaurants and supermarket. Ellsworth, the county seat and commercial center, is 27 miles away; Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are 45 miles and Bangor is 50 miles. So all of these are no more than an hour drive.
